OrthoBenchmark compares orthophoto outputs from multiple drone mapping pipelines.
OrthoBenchmark is an interactive benchmark page inside OrthoViewer for comparing published orthophoto and DOM outputs from OrthoSplat, Metashape, DJI Terra, WebODM, and MipMap. It uses shared drone datasets and lets users inspect differences with swipe and side-by-side map views.
What can be compared?
The benchmark catalog includes datasets such as Residential, Esri-Campus, Village, Packing-House-District, Marshall-Fire, Drone-Imagery-Part1, Drone-Imagery-Part2, Urban-Area, and Coastal-Neighborhood.
- Compared software includes OrthoSplat, Agisoft Metashape, DJI Terra, WebODM, MipMap (2D), MipMap (2D+3D), and Terra 3DGS DOM.
- Generation methods include orthorectification, mesh orthographic projection, and Gaussian splatting synthesis.
- The page is for visual inspection of listed datasets and versions, not an objective universal ranking of all photogrammetry software.
How does the benchmark work?
Choose a dataset, choose two software outputs, and compare aligned raster tiles in the browser. The default view opens OrthoSplat against Metashape where that pair is available.
